spray bolt/sticking area with pb buster -- let it sit a couple of hours... Watch out not to get any on the paint.

I got quoted for the tip at 70$ with special price. Expensive if you ask me. A option would be going to the exhaust shop to have it fixed. I heard they have special tools.

That pbbuster is crazy, you'll see smoke and fireworks coming from the stuck area hehe

drink some milk and pull hard. i take mine out every so often to polish the tips and keep them from yellowing. if the car is an older model it may be rusted on but it shouldnt be since it seems like its able to slide out a bit. if its bent then you'd have to cut that shiz off

when you guys say twist like left to right on the same horizontal plane or like clockwise.

yeah i found em new for 60.

i may have to cut the rest of the oval area that the bolt goes through and open them up with some pliers.

any tips to put the new ones back on?

Are both tips difficult to remove? It really shouldn't be that difficult.

If the tip is dented, then the metal piece where the screw goes in will def be bent. Use a flat head and pry on the piece while pulling on the tip and it will come off. I had to replace mine awhile back with similar situation.

i say take some PB Blaster to where the pieces meet and let it soak. then if that doesn't help heatgun to the tips to help them expand a bit.
