im starting to lose my patience with this stupid plexiglass rear window. It cracked once when the top was put down in 20 degree weather and today it was like 35 degrees out (certainly not freezing) and i put the top down and it left a giant crease/bend mark/dimple on the plexiglass zig-zagged all the way down the center.

is it possible to switch the rear plexiglass out to a Glass window like the ones found in the newer S2K's?

anyone know how much?

also, if people are wondering why i put the top down at 35 degrees, i did it because it was very sunny out and i was parked

pixel glass is harden and if you are talking about the 00-01 rear plastic then it's not a pixel glass at all.

anyway, to give you more bad news, the newer tops with glass uses a different frame works than the rag top with plastic, so you can't just swap in the latter unit.


the good news is that an aftermarket rag top maker(robbins? on ebay) makes a direct fit glass replacement for 00-01.

the installation runs half a day, the new tops(robbin) runs 500-600

im not a fan of ordering something like this on ebay
