It took me < 5 mins to install but I think it's because the putty wasn't that hard. I guess heating it would help but I don't think it would matter. DON'T USE A SCREWDRIVER!! Omg you're so going to f* it up if you do. Just move the mirror to an end position and slide your fingers around and pull steady. Not hard but steady. I think mine came off the top first and then it had slide clips on the bottom.

Yes, the new mirror does mess with your eyes. I am still getting used to it but it helps so it's a keeper.
