Some of the pics that my sister helped me take along my
'02 soft top install. Sorry if they are not clear or is not helpful.

For the Helms Manual instruction of how to remove and install
the soft top (both '00-'01 model and '02 model), I do NOT have
access to a scanner, so I can't upload them online. I tried taking
pics at the manual using my Sony digi-cam but the quality is very
poor, you can not even read it.

So if you really need them, PM me privately, I'll send you a copy through regular mail.

I understand that you riveted the straps to the third bar, but
from there where did you go with the other end of the strap???

Thanks AEW
P.S. sorry for all the questions

AEW: I think it said earlier in the thread that you need to put the straps (or springs) connecting the 2nd and third bars together.

OneQuickS2K: Did you ever get the defroster hooked up yet? I'm wondering how difficult that part would be since the wire segment that is on the 02 cars is not there on the 00 or 01 models. I wonder if you can order it from the dealer separately. I might be following your lead here pretty soon. If I do, I'll take some detailed pictures. Those are some good pictures you took.

Very nice!!!!!!! I want one. One question: I remember hearing that the roofline of the 02 is different than that of the 01. If this is the case, how does the top fit on there, if the bars are in different locations? I also would love to know how long this took you. Thanks

The 02' frame has a piece of elastic material connecting the 2nd and third bars. Check it out for yourself.
