Rev-matching

Blipping of the throttle doesn't really mean anything by itself.
What really matters is the point where you let out the clutch.
For example, I can blip just over where I need to be and shift very fast... hitting my target mark right on. Very little wear.
Or I can blip thousands of rpm over, but not let out the clutch until the rpms fall to the target point. Still very little wear.
It depends on the inertia of your flywheel. The blip itself doesn't matter as much as how many rpms you're "off" of your target when you try and mate the engine.

in addition to this you must consider, are you releasing your clutch before the target rpm or after? -100 (lower) rpm is usually not as bad as +100 (higher) rpm.
if you think about it, say:
target = 5000rpm
throttle open allowing 5500rpm but you engage at 4900rpm, the flywheel is on its way up and there is less stress on the clutch to get it to 5000rpm.
however, same thing:
target = 5000rpm
throttle open allowing 5500rpm but you engage 5100rpm, the flywheel is still on its way up but now there is more stress because it must be bogged down to 5000rpm instead.
^that is for over reving and engagment at + and - situations.
Then there is under reving and engagement at + and - also.
my take on the issue,
veyr similar to others, blipping too much is better than blipping too little.
the reason why you rev match is to let it catch up, so by revving too little, you are not helping
find the range where the car responds the best and practice to get it there everytime
