I'll have to check my RPMs today when I'm on the freeway. I actually never go as slow as 56 mph in 6th gear. Did you mean to say 65 mph instead???

Funny, I would want Honda to gear the whole thing lower (higher rev's at a given speed) for better street driving. Guess everyone has a different idea of acceptable sports car behavior. I don't mind serious engine howl and would wear ear plugs on long drives, as I do on bikes.

That's what I was thinking.

The car was designed to rev high. The 2K RPM roll outs from a light probably bother you as well. Just something you get used to. Nothing wrong with the car, just different.

OK, I just got back from driving around.

In 6th gear, at 65 mph, I am around 3K RPM. at 75 mph, I am at 4K RPM.

If you are at 56 mph and at 4K RPM in 6th gear, then something is wrong. Are you sure you're not in 4th gear instead of 6th???
