From the pics it looks almost TOO pretty to install the heat shield on... Anyone leaving the heatshield off? Notice any ill effects from doing so? I'm still debating purchasing but this is a nice piece of work... I want to install one and then stand around in the garage all day lovingly gazing at it...

 

Well I got mine installed last night and I must say this header is awesome! Everthing fit perfect, no need to spend money on new donuts, header bolts. Use the gasket that comes with and your're all set! 2 hours to do with a lift. My first impressions is that it seems to pull harder from 3500-Vtec. I mean it's a definate improvement! No difference in sound. As must have mod for the money! Thanks to Rick and Stratocaster for their hard work! Now go buy one!

 

The remaining headers for the GB arrived today and will ship Tuesday, July 5. All standing orders will be shipped, so if you've been waiting patiently, you'll have your header by the end of next week.

 

Actually the ship date will be Thrusday 7th. I need to get some packing supplies and they will take the order on Tuesday, deliver on Wednesday. I will pack them up and put the shippers on them on Wednesday night. FedEx will pick them up on Thrusday.

FYI, I will use 90cft of packing peanuts and I just can't store them and my car in the garage.

 

Till this header came along, not many other aftermarket header came with the ability to attach the heat shields back on. This makes for much hotter underhood temps. I have the Toda header. (I wish Rick would have done this a year ago 'cause I would have bought his in a heartbeat.) The Toda is "naked". The lack of heatshields compelled to me to get a vented hood to try and evacuate some of the heat (and it has proven to work very well).
You are right, a header such as this is very nice to look at and in some ways, it's a shame to cover it up. Decisions, decisions!!??? I've always liked to be able to see the header(s) on my cars. Given the choice, I'd still leave off the heatshields and go with a vented hood. (It's just another excuse to buy more goodies for the car. )

 

I haven't put the top heat sheild on yet. I am sure that it is a lot hotter under my hood, but I haven't noticed any difference.

Yes, we will be shipping ALL headers. US, UK and CANADA will have their shipped. When it shouldbe delivered is another store customs has been known to slow things down abit.
