I've been out of the country and on vacation for the last month, so I've been out ot touch.

The work on the modules by the engineering design students at OSU Okmulgee was delayed by some enrollment issues that the department chair had to deal with first. I'm trying to get an update on where the design work stands and will relay the news once I have it.

updates, rick? Also, do you happen to know if the new Tom Tom One would fit the mount. It appears to be very close in size to the nuvi. I'm guessing the answer is no, but I just thought I'd ask.

If it's designed to mate with the Nuvi, I doubt the TomTom would fit without some surgery on the mount, but you never know. The Nuvi has gotten universally good reviews, and they're keeping the form factor for the 600 series, so this mount looks like a winner. I'm probably pulling the trigger on the Nuvi around Christmas - sure would be nice to have a custom mount for my S by then.

Thanks again, Rick - can't wait until it's ready!

Thumbs up

Hey Rick, thanks for keeping us updated.

Listen, in the meantime while we wait for Rick to provide us with updates, why don't we begin an informal "Need custom GPS mount" waiting list/petition?

Although this may be premature, and I in no way have permission to do so from Rick... Rick can show his investors (monetary&workload), how many people would be seriously interested in this product.

Perhaps it will help motivate those key people to get into gear!

To start things off...

** I Need a Custom GPS Mount. Consider me on the waiting list **

ps- Go ahead and flame my butt if this sounds stupid. Thanks again Rick.
