I love my Rick's knob and the vendor is a class act all the way

They get my "five star" rating

I'm wondering why this knob is not offered in stainless steel? There are at least 15 different grades of stainless, most of which would be easier to tool than titanium. Also, the stainless would certainly be heavy enough.

I have long thought about this as an option. I wonder what the interest level would be if we indeed did offer them in SS?

Ti is the metal of choice and was already offered when we picked up the line, years back. Only in recent years did Ti get so costly that we dropped it from out line up. That is the reason for the GBs when the price came back into sight. Ti is the CF of metals

Wouldnt stainless get hotter than the aluminum? I recently put a black Voodoo knob in the Fit and it gets pretty hot. However, Im in Vegas.

Time for a knob sock.

Good question, but I believe that aluminum and titanium both have a higher thermal conductivity than stainless steel. I'll have to check the tables to be sure.

I drove for about 4 hours on Sunday at around 98 F ambient. The Ti knob got warm but certainly not hot. I can't imagine all the complaints about the hot knobs.

Just think, you can always ask your GF if she wants to feel your hot knob!

I took my OEM knob and countersunk it. It turned out pretty good but does not look as good as the Rick's.

you know...i actually received my voodoo knob in the mail today.

it's pearl aluminum and yes, i'll have to agree, it's definitely the number 1 mod that I recommend for anyone looking for something that's cheap and affordable.

the feel is great, it doesn't get too hot, and it's about 1 inch lower than the stock position.

one question i have is...

what difference would i experience if i were to invest in the titanium knob?
