Default rick's knob engraving not straight. solution?

I recieved my voodoo knob from Rick's today, but when i put it on it fell a little less than a quarter of a turn from being straight. Is there an easy way to fix this or should I take out a grinder and grind the top of shift lever? Other than that it's perfect.

there's gotta be some way to tighten it. My Muz (or my 3 Muz's at it were) came with a little Allen screw...At the very least, you can use the stock locknut

The installation instruction say you should use blue thread lock. Apply blue (not red) to the threads, screw on the knob and set it lined up. Let it dry for 1 hour then you are all set.

It worked great on mine.

It is counter sunk. There are no exposed threads, so the stock lock nut will not work.

It should be lining up correctly - you try turning it harder? Other than that, the grinder sounds like a good idea...if you don't overdo it. Check for trash inside the knob -- just for fun. I've found wierd things in all sorts of places they shouldn't be.

Ditto on the blue locktite. Mine's pretty close to perfect, but not without the locktite.

i bought the thread locker and i just applied it, it's a little messy. I'm pretty strong, so I don't think it's anything i'm doing.

We'll see what happens!
