expect 500 or so more than stock. 80 mph will make pretty high rpms. but remember that it feels "smoother" with less vibration, in my recent experience.
interesting only a change of 500rpm. I didn't expect it to be so minimal, was expecting around 1K jump. I wonder why top end is affected so much, guess that last 500rpm gets us another 15mph

You could also get the Yellowjacket for $60. My S was the first one in the Ramjet shop. I had them install the OEM kit and I brought Mobil 1. I had 4.44s installed earlier in the year and have not had any issues.
did ramjet install your Yellow jacket too?

ill prob get criticized for this but i chose not to install the yellow box. first, cuz i don't really care about the thing being exactly accurate and it cost extra money and i didn't know how to install it even after looking at the diagrams (cuz im an idiot).

but so far, im glad i didn't change it. i got used to using the speedo and tach to figure out what gear to be in and all the same speeds hold true (ie 8 mph is min for 2nd, 19 for 3, 27 for 4, etc.) i know the speed is faster than im actually going, but if i need to know the true number, i just take away 10% ish.
11% to be exact. Don't forget it's going to have the same effect on your odometer. Your car is going to show 11% more milage than actual - you'll loose out much more on depreciation that what you save on the yellow box. Just something to consider...

No, I did that. If I can do it anyone can do it. It took about 20 min. Cool thing with the Yellow Jacket is you don't have to restart your car when you play with the settings. You can adjust it on the fly. I have a bottle of LE-607 but since I am changing the diff fluid again anyway, why put in the good stuff right away.

i understand, but i have a friend that honda that hooks me up with service. and I'm NEVER letting this car go, especially after the new gears. this is something i want my kid to see one day. maybe i'll get the box, but right now, i really feel no need. pinching pennies on things you dont need has gotten me quite far. thanks for the input though.

advice to live by. (however some will point out you didn't need gears since you already had gears )

I'm trying to convince my wife that spending thousands of dollars on my S2000 in the long run is cheaper than buying a better car like a BS or Z06.

I'm about to take the plunge of getting gears myself, seem to be all around great mod.

stock should be fine. gears should put any additional stress on the tranny line as far as i understand it.
