RICKS SHIFT KNOBS
I ordered the Pearl Aluminum shift knob last Saturday and it arrived here in South Texas by Wednesday.
Love it so far, have to wait to see how it is in the hot Texas Summer Sun.
Hope everyone sees their orders soon.
Gassho,

Gassho,
Yeah, I am having the same problem with Ricks. I ordered my S batches a month and a half ago along with their license plate holder. Got the plate holder in less than 2 weeks, thanks them for it, but still havent seen the S batches. They did a good job repplying initially, but its been two weeks and two emails and still havent gotten a response. All I want to know is when I can get them, no rush, just a straight answer. I dont think thats too much too ask. I feel for you man.
people who say Rick's has A++++ customer service are really doing a disservice to potential customers. I haven't been on the board that long, but have seen slow/bad customer service discussed repeatedly, and have experienced it myself....and its truly bad form to charge your card before sending the product.

my experience was good. i ordered a magnum ti engraved knob, and they were out of stock. it took about a month for me to get it. no complaints though, ricks sent me an email every time they found out about the knobs and when they would be expected to arrive and when it would be engraved. so if you have a problem with ricks, please just PM them and handle it personally. it goes so much smoother that way.

Well worth the wait IMHO
Stratocaster - why not just email the people with orders which may be taking longer than in their expectations

You should understand, that if you were gauging what we do by the threads, you would think that we always fail to meet expections. No, what you see is when something goes wrong. Communications, shipping, stock levels, ect... WE have far more happy customers then upset customers.
This is the same as S2000 threads. All of the threads posted about how my _____ broken on my S2000. If you gauged the car on the same basis you would think it was a POS. But in all reality, no one posts good things our our customer server (or the S2000). In fact we have not had a post like this in a long time (6-9 months). That is what matters to us. All vendors are going to have issues, ours just get posted here. Then everyone has an opinion.
heo13, send me e-mail (Orders @ Ricks2k . Com) with your order number and I will see what I can do.
"its truly bad form to charge your card before sending the product." Bad form, I think not. I would guess you have never ordered anything from Japan for your car. Not only do you pay a mint for it, you also pay up front for it. 90% of our items are custom made. We have to pay to have them made. This is clearly posted on our web site, on the shopping cart as you check out. The items that aren't customer made are directly dropped shipped.
Customer service is not judged by how every order is handled, it is judged by how we handled the customers with an issue. 95% of all orders never have a problem of any kind. It is the 5 percent that we spend our time trying to fix. It could be a shipping issue, or a communications issue, or simply an installation issue. "A++ Customer Satisfaction." is about how we satisfy the customers in the end. Problem happen, you just can't make everybody happy all of the time. If they are satisfied, do you think they would start a thread in the fist place?
For the record, VooDoo knobs take time to be made. From the time we place an order for them, a square block of metal, to a finished knob we ship to you, it takes 6 weeks. That means we have to guess what will sell in the next 6 weeks in order to have them in stock. We guess and then we have to do what we can when it look like we will be running out. You have to understand, these things as custom made for us. No one stocks S2000 parts as a rule.
