Beautiful car, locale, and picture!

P.S. I hate you! It is raining and cool here tonight, and my car has been delayed yet again.

Perfect Backdrop.......Love the picture. Does the 1-2 shift actually grind? And how many miles are on your S. A few 2004 owners (including myself) had a 1-2 grind for the first few miles, then went away. When it's cold in the morning my 1-2 shift is always notchy for a couple of miles.........then it turns to butter.

I wonder why Honda called it "Rio Yellow."

"Perfect Yellow" would have been more accurate.

Yes, I have a grind on the 1-2 shift. The 1-2 shift is also much more "notchy" than the others. It seems only to grind with fairly high RPMs when shifting quickly. If I shift slowly or below 4000ish it shifts nice and smoothly. However, when sitting or just starting, it is difficult to get into 2nd sometimes, whether the tranny is cold or hot.

However, I only have about 400 miles on it so I will give it a little more time before worrying. Hopefully, this is something that works itself out as it breaks in.

One positive note: With 400 miles it hasn't used so much as a DROP of oil

Fingers crossed!

Mark

Congratulations on your purchase! I hope you make it out to one of our local S2000 meets. I still haven't seen the Rio yellow.
