Ripped top on 2003
My bf has a 2003 S2K and on the top there is a rip on each side of it. I have been looking around for TSB's to get it fixed but it seems like its only 05-up. He has the aftermarket warranty for it and I was wondering if there are any TSB's that I have missed or if he can get it replaced under the aftermarket warranty. Let me know. Thanks!
hmmm i tried to get my top covered under warranty, i have an 05...
i was instantly declined.
i would say give it a try, it doesnt hurt, if you make a big stink about it they might replace it...
although it may be a longshot...
however...
a little piece of advice,
a little clevage goes a long way....

It won't be replaced under the extended warranty. You can always try and they might do it in good faith, but its unlikely.
There are plenty of links on here about how to repair and patch rips.
Good luck!

How big are the rips? If they're able to be patched, you may want to consider that in the short term. It'll be tough to convince anyone to work on a 7 year old top under warranty.
Also, there may be specific language in the aftermarket warranty terms that exclude items like the top if they consider it to be normal wear and tear.

Even AP2's 05+ will be extremely rare to get them replaced. TSB is not a recall at all.
An AP1 will not have a shot in hell to get it replaced.
Look into a topsonline.com top or something. Seem to be pretty good a much cheaper option than oem. Or just buy a used soft top with complete frame and all for a much easier install.
