Anybody here have the alloy pieces that go under the hood in the S2k? I wanted to get some, but wanted to know if they are worth it..long term. Kinda pricey...Thanks in advance.

I have the Shock Tower Bar, the dead pedal, the injector cover, the battery tie down and the oil cap. They look great and are made well. The other pieces offered by RM are just dress up caps that go over the stock pieces and are attached by a set screw. I thought that was kind of bogus so I did not bother. All the pieces I mentioned replace the stock pieces.

Of course I saved all my stock pieces safely away in zip lock bags.

On top of what Bieg said:
If you have an intake I would suggest the frame cover. It does wonders for the engine comartment.

I like them, and I agree with AaronS2K that the frame cover is the best place to start (but not if you have the stock air intake -- you wouldn't see it).

The parts are very well made, but the fit of some of them is a bit problematic. I had to grind of the corner of the ABS cover to get it to fit (it would not clear the fender well).

All in all I think they're a fine decorative addition. Is it worth it? If you want the engine bay to look great, yes. If you don't care, it's not.

Wow Bieg, I bet those alloy replacements will add extra weight to your car which will start to impact the performance of your car...

Forget Super Unleaded... Stick to Regular gas because any benefits from the octane increase will surely be negated by the extra weight of your alloy replacements...
