I often feel people over think these things.
When was the last time your car need 1qt of oil to keep running and you were saved from walking for miles with 1qt? Everytime you stop for gas, if you're anal, check your oil. All gas stations have oil.
Bring extra water, that could actually save your life. A gun, ammo, check your tires.
Free way driving takes almost no braking. So screw changing your pads for 8k of driving.
Pack what you need for the event and drive your car.

People freak out over road trips for some reason.
Road trips are WAY easier on your engine than city driving.
Constant air flow, fuel flow, at a set speed.
Hence the term you see when buying used cars "all highway miles"
I drove from virginia beach to cali, coast to coast on nothing but an oil change in a 1990 CRX!!!
I also drive from AZ to WA every year in my CRX and it does just fine.
You have to remember that your in an S2000 and have virtually NO ROOM for unnecessary things.
Get your tools that you use on your car, (10mm, 13mm etc. 3/8 ratchet) trow them in a ziploc bag and your set.
Things you need to do before the trip are:
-Change spark plugs (better fuel economy)
-Throw some fuel system cleaner in
-Make sure your good on coolant
