If you perform the labor youself, it will take you much longer than a shop that has experience with our cars. There is a shop here in San Diego that whips them out in just over five hours somehow and charges $350!
I paid $750 for mine from ebay, and put it in myself. You will need a drill with an 1/8" bit to remove the old rivets on the elastic straps and to drill the new holes in the frame. You'll also need a punch, a rivet gun, some double sided tape, a whole day and alot of patience.
It will help considerably having a second person there to help you, and find the instructions online, as the ones that come with it are jobber instructions, so only the modification part is documented...they expect you to already know how to remove and install the new top.
