Default Robbins Top

I need a new top soon. Tell me anything you know about the Robbins top as opposed to the OEM top. I do all of my own maintenance (mostly due to the good information from all of you) but I am not going to install the top. I have a 2005 with 80,000 miles I drive 60 miles per day in L.A. traffic. I can't believe how tough this car is. Thank you very much for your help. Doc.

I've had a Robbins top for over 3 years with no problems. The fit is a little different by the rear glass area but not too noticeable. Next time I change by top I might go with a tan top but the top is showing no wear. I would recommend this top to anyone.

I think they are the best tops around. I have used their tops on several of my restorations. Make sure you get the Hartz Cloth--stays black and wears forever. It is the only top I would put on my S2K.

I'm also curious about this. My OEM top is starting to get some large tears in them and I can see a replacement sometime in the future. I assume with the Robbins top you're only replacing the fabric, right? Do you keep the bars and electric motors?

How much is just the fabric from Robbins? Are there any recommended shops for the install? This is definitely something I won't be trying myself.

I have a Robbins and I think it's great. I also had one for my old mx-5. They do a lot of top stuff, and I think they are recommended quite often. Never heard a single thing wrong about them actually.
