Dmitri, the Xpel film has a good adhesive on it. It's actually 3M Scotchcal[SIZE=1]

If you want a temporary solution I'd suggest looking into another material than 3M Scotchcal.
Like an acual leather car bra.

[QUOTE=Dmitri1979,Apr 14 2005, 09:13 AM]I was on the xpel site and noticed that you can buy film in bulk (several dimensions) and thought if anyone had bought some film and installed it themselves just for temporary use (weekend trips)?

clear bra from day one! worth every penny. nothing is as good as an original paint job from the factory.

Anyone heard of this?

I've got a ton of rock chips all over my front bumper and a few on the side of the car. Windshield has a bunch of pits too. And don't forget the nice big ass scrapes on the lower edge of the front bumper. I like it, gives my car a very unique character that few other S2000s have.

My car has none ;x

Stay away from big tires (usually has flaps that do nothing to protect the people behind them)... And follow the 3 second follow rule? ;p

I commute 22 miles each way on the freeway in southern California, so staying back a bit from the car in front of you doesn't work - someone else just gets in between, and the next thing you know you're driving 40 MPH trying to stay back.

One time, I was a good 100 yards behind this flatbed track hauling flattened cars, and a chunk of metal came flying off and scraped the side of my car. I was pissed.

I got more chips this past few months because of all the rain (causing potholes, which puts rocks on the road) than I did the whole year before that.
