Default Rock VS. Window

Last night took the S for a ride as I was getting on a highway a rock came off a truck pulling a bobcat. It took a nice chunk out of the front window. Has anyone gotten a window replaced? I am curious as to who would do the best job installing a new window. The local Honda shop said they outsource all of the window jobs. The insurance company also said I could pick the installer.

Every windshield I have had replaced I just picked someone out of the phone book. Usually a mobile place that can just come to me and get it done.

I've never had one done on the S, but for my other cars it has been the insurance companies pick and I've never had a bad replacement job.

Windshield replacement isn't too tricky. Anyone should do a decent job. Is your insurance paying for this? I have a chip in my window and I have to pay the $500 deductible to get it fixed.

You can get it replaced for $300-400. Don't pay a $500 deductible.

When you get it replaced you can have a different rearview mirror "button" put on so you can do a Homelink / Compass / Self-dimming mirror install....

Wow, love the ETD setup with the PuddyMod mount smart move
I never gutted the stock air box but I know plenty have. Do a little search thing and see if this is an issue if, no one can tell you for sure. I like the intake tube too is that a new tube or a wrap?

If you have comprehensive insurance it will pay for the new windshield N/C to you
Find a Co. that has a journeyman glass installer, this is the guy you want You will need a new seal from Honda, be sure they order this before you make your appointment for the install.
Use a none Honda glass, Honda glass sucks If PPG is making the glass now get your install Co. to order from them if not there are other Co. that make better glass than the OEM crap.
I have had mine done because of a very similar circumstance
