rolled over my s2000 today
i spun my s due to my stupiedity
but thats another story,
but once i got it back i was always a bit scared and never pushed it, but flipping
a car twice?
do you ever get scared behind the wheel when you push it thinking it could happen agian??cause i was scared for a bit :\
That car is a 100% write off. Dont think for a second they're going to save it. A damaged windshield frame and a mashed 1/4 panel is a guaranteed write off unless your car is only a couple years old (which it isnt) You've probably done 12+K in damage and thats if they would even allow for a repair after the structural integrity of the windshield frame has been compromised.
Congrats on surviving. This is my worst nightmare, its fairly easy to get carried away, I've scared myself a few times but nothing even close to an actual accident. Thats the problem with a car that will handle all kinds of G's in a corner, the second you break traction, you will lose control fast if you arent quick on the controls.
As for "track days", I hate to be the guy who says it, but if he did the same thing at a track day he would have written off his car without any coverage. I know insurance isnt supposed to subsidize your street racing, but I've seen people write off cars at the track and its painful to watch.

This is why I don't want to take my S to the track, along with the fact that I don't want to rip up half of my interior for the roll bar. Right now I can't afford to replace it. I get plenty of thrills from AutoX and I never exceed AutoX speeds when playing around unless I'm going in a straight line on a road like an interstate.
Oh, and I'm very glad to hear OP is OK. Take it to an AutoCross. Losing it there would just mean you have to rub off rubber marks left from the cones, and your tires lost maybe 500 miles worth of tread.
Glad to hear you're alright. I just don't understand convertibles. Looking at that picture, it seems like your head would hit the pavement looking at the way the car is laying. The rear hoops are lower than the top of my head, and the windshield is only about 2-3 inches higher than the top of my head. I guess you naturally tend to duck down when something like this happens? Still the windshield looks partially collapsed.
Wouldn't the airbag kind of force your head back upright? Luckily I've never experienced an airbag going off, so I wouldn't know.
