Rolling (or basically ruining) Fenders
Not serious at all... just posing possible answers to your question.
I like stance cars, and hella flush rides and believe there is a difference between the two.
I'm willing to forgo some comfort. I own an S2k, dropped on coilovers. But I don't get some of the extreme stuff because I want to drive my car, autoX, and trackday it.
I'm sure someone rolling around in a Honda Odyssey feels the same way about my car when they see it.

Honda OE engineering > mods

Honda OE engineering > mods
OE Honda stuff was designed for the masses. A 60 year old Grandma down to the 20 year old hot shot.

Agreed to an extent, doesn't change the fact it was designed for a generic consumer. I've seen plenty of retirees, women, etc driving S2000's that just putz around town. Doesn't change the fact the vehicle can be tailored with aftermarket parts to suit the driver.
I bought my S2000 from two 60+ year old retired people that only drove it in the Summer and had a Prius for everything else. I've lowered it on quality suspension, added some wheels I have loved for ages as well as a few other OEM items. I have a slight roll on my fenders to prevent rubbing on hard cornering. Vehicle is far from slammed though.

you read my mind. i am 30, just bought a s2000 off a retired old guy and i have plans to just put around in a prius. s2000 will someday become a weekend/track car.
I need to disclose, I'm a huge fan of the stock S2000. When I see a pic of a S2000 with tires that look like they are rolling at a 22.5 degree angle i throw up in my mouth a little and say, another S2000 that will be in the junkyard sooner rather than later. Not only does it look horrible, it's dangerous to drive.
For the love of god, if you're going to roll a fender, do it on a Civic Si or a Integra.
The proof is in the pudding. If you roll, drop, NOS, kit, etc., the shit out of a S2000, spend thousands of dollars on useless mods, then try and sell the car with those mods, you will get zero back in return of your "investment". It's because most people think the car was not cared for and it's basically on its way out. I think it's a denial thing. People spend so much at the time when they "mod" their car and fads change, they are left feeling a little exposed.
I may be a little nutty, but I put the S2000 in the same category as a Ferrari 360, it's a timeless design and will age gracefully, why ruin it!!
Ps-you can track the daylights out of a stock S and it will need brakes, tires, and fluid changes, that's it. The S is made for the track. Try and track a stock Civic for a little while and see what happens.

yup and agreed. I'm not nearly as smart as the army of honda engineers that made the '03 AP1 s2000 perfect as a stock car...except for the stereo-its not good...and the considerable roll on the stock suspension auto crossing. i'd rather spend my money on tires and maintenance.
to each his or her own.
