Rolling down hill bad for engine warm up?
Sometimes I am in a rush to leave my house but do not want to go into gear and start driving unless the car is fully warmed up.
Since I live in the mountains, I keep it in neutral and let the car just roll down, no need to go into gear...
Doesnt seem like this harms the car, but just to make sure, is this ok?
Thanks for the help in advance..

throwing it in gear will make the car warm up faster...esp the tranny.
leaving it in neutral is like sitting idle...the tranny isnt warming up while the engine is.

Inside it states that it is perfectly safe to begin driving the car immediately after starting the engine. Just don't drive it hard until it's up to normal operating temperature.
By driving the car, rather than letting it idle, you'll heat the engine and tranny up to operating temperature faster, and you'll heat up the diff as well.
By letting the engine idle until it gets up to operating temperature, you just, well, wasting your time.

Owner's manual says NOT to warm the engine up by just letting it run idle... You can start driving within the minute, just don't make too many revs until warmed up properly!

Not only is this paranoid, compulsive/obsessive behavior driven by a lack of automotive knowledge, it is an unsafe practice as the car is NOT in total control when just coasting in neutral. For the good of your car and for the safety of yourself and your neighborhood, please stop doing this. Just drive it easy till it warms up. The car won't let you rev it too high when it's not ready anyway.
