Does anyone else have problems closing the roof? I have a problem where the LHS does not seem to line up with the windscreen and hence the hook won't clip in. I can usually persuade it in by pulling the roof via the handle however this morning I had to physically get out of the car and pull the roof to the left to get the hook in. The RHS always seems fine.

I'm wandering whether this could be something that I have caused as being RHD I tend to click the RHS in first and then go to the left, any ideas?

Sounds like a trip to the dealer is in order for a top allignment adjustment. I haven't experienced this problem, but someone with a Helms manual can perhaps comment about it.

I usually grab the roof handle and "guide" it in. But, your case seems to point to the motor assembly not putting equal amounts of pressure to both sides. I would take it to the dealer like lvs2k mentioned. Good luck.

I have had similar problems with the right side. I have found that latching the left side, then jogging the Top Switch up again will bring the right latch a little closer so it latches easily.

I plan on bringing it up when I have the car at the dealer for Hartop install.

Hmm, I think this was a problem with euro imports, Honda UK fix the problem during PDI but charge

sounds like, as was posted above, a dealer trip is in your future...
i assume that your windows are down when you try to put the top up. i know that i cant connect my top if the windows are up, and can if they are down.

I had the problem a few times with the left side (drivers) and I finally figured out that it only happened with the door open and me sitting part way in the seat. Always after I have gotten out mid way through putting up the top to grab my window roll. Now I just close the door and have not had a problem since. (must be an alignment / tiny bit of flex / or something.)

My Euro Import is OK. This might be a problem with models made before the year 2000. Test drove a 1999 red s2000 car at a dealer in london. The sales person could not get the roof open. The left latch would not give.

Have this problem also, I remember someone telling me that driving for long periods at high speeds with the top down and no tonneau cover might deform the top structure a bit (wind turbulences). It is in fact harder to close it after 5-6hrs of highway driving.
I usually just pull a bit the roof and it's fine...

sounds silly, but make sure you're on level ground. I had that problem once and realized I was parked sideways on a hill. DUH!
