Default RPM's Dropping when just completed a stop

It is hard to repeat the problem I am experiencing, but when I am driving and come to a complete stop, the RMP's drop way below 1000 and feels as if the car is going to stall and then goes back up to 1000rpm's or right below it and idles just fine. It only occurs when I make stops wether or not they be hard stops or gradial stops.

Not sure what could be causing it. I thought Low fuel, but I filled the tank up and the problem still occurred.

If anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate it.

Dominic

Mine does it occasionally too. I'll be interested to see what people say about it.

Mine does it too. I thought it was my lightweight Toda flywheel and parasitic drag from my vortech supercharger...guess not. BTW mines an '02 if that helps.

I have a 2002 and I get this as well. I haven't nailed it down to any specific circumstances, although someone told me that it was heat related and that their comptech intake made it go away.

FYI, I'm experiencing the same problem, but only when the car is cold. Check out this thread:

I have the same problem all the time. It really feels like the car is going to stall, but then it jumps back up. I am not sure what it is, but I have heard that it might have something to do with the intake temperatures.

I have also experienced this. It appears to happen on hot days when the vehicle is warmed up. This engine generates an enormous amount of heat and I have heard of diminished performance when heat soaked.
Does anyone have any solutions other than installing a CAI.

Thx,
Rick

Mine does it too. I haven't had it looked at yet. I will if it gets worse.
