Default Running without ari filter

Damn it. Im gonna make my little story short.

Today 4 PM : Decide to clean my K&N air filter and take it off the car.
Today 7 PM : My girlfriend call me to pick her up in a hurry at the gym because she twisted her ankle . I forgot to put back my air filter. I ran for about 10 min and make about 2 km. I was driving very slowly. When i recall that i didnt have the filter i panic. Stop the car and i was like "SHIT, SHIT #@...". So i go back to my apartment at like 20 mph in 5 to not push the engine.

So my question is : Do i have hurt the engine??? Thanks for fast anwser, im a little bit worried right now...

You could have, but chances are that you haven't done SERIOUS damage to it.

If the pipe is still in the airbox, chances are only dust and sand are going to get into the intake. Anything larger has to settle in the airbox. These will melt and glaze your cylinder and spark plugs, and is definitely not a good thing, but I don't think you'll lose your engine over it. Shorten its life, maybe.

Take the spark plugs out and have a look here:

This is a sand glazed plug

I am going to try pulling my filter at the track to see if it makes a difference.

This is not something I would suggest!
Just because others do it does not mean it is a good idea.
When I open the top of the air filter housing I'm amazed at the size of things getting sucked in there, bugs and small stones.
If one of those small stones rolls over to the intake pipe during hard cornering and gets caught in the vacume and goes into the engine.
Wow. That would be one very expensive track day!

I am aware of the risks.
