Default rusting lugnuts

I've got little patches of rust on the lugnuts for my front wheels. The rears are ok. Any thoughts? Ideas? suggestions?

They shouldn't be there....

remove the lugs and clean them with some fine steel wool. put them back on an put a light mist of marine "6-56 CRC" on the nuts and anything else you don't want to rust. It'll make em shine like hell and they'll never rust. My kawi ZXI900 jet ski always gets a light mist on the engine after every run in salt water. The engine and all the chrome nuts and bolts on it are literally in brand new condition after 8 years.

Want a shock? Go to your dealer and price new lug nuts. My CR-V lug nuts are HORRIBLE with peeling chrome and rust. I should have bitched about it when it was under warranty.

Mine just started to rust. Freakin air wrenches! Why can't they coat those things in a hard rubber gromet or something! Will any marine store have marine "6-56 CRC"? Is it specifically to prevent rust or is it just a marine oil?
