Is The S Your Only Car?
I also have a severe weather beater, an 89 Pontiac Grand Prix. My parents bought it for me in college and it still runs fine. Hey life's too short to deny yourself things that you want and can have.

The S2000 is not our only car. We have three for some very specific reasons.
The S2000 is the play car for when I'm driving without the family or for when the wife and I can actually get a babysitter to watch the kids.
The Ford Expedition is the work vehicle for hauling around the kids, carrying big items like a TV or something, trips to Home Depot, taking the dog to the vet, going to the snow, going camping, and towing the boat.
The Lexus GS400 was primarily just a play car but is now the play car with family hauling capabilities. It's primarily used when hauling around one of the kids, to haul around all of the kids when the Expedition is in the shop, or for when the wife or I have to go on a long driving business trip. The GS400 is a great car (300hp V8). It's very quick, handles better than most sedans out there, cruises at 100mph with no effort (it seems like you're only doing 65mph--top speed is electronically limited to 149mph), and looks good. This is also the play car for those rainy days.
If you have any plans to buy a JetSki/Waverunner, boat, quadrunner, dirt bike, etc., then the S2000 isn't for you because you'll need something that can tow. If you need some decent cargo carrying space, or make frequent trips to Home Depot, then the S2000 isn't for you (unless you want those 2x4's sitting in the passenger seat next to you). If you need a backseat for some reason, then the S2000 isn't for you. Otherwise, go for it!

My S2K is my only car and daily driver. So far, no regrets after 2 months.......but if I had to drive the car through heavy traffic everyday, then I probably would have got something else. Luckily, the traffic isn't too bad in our city

S2k is my only car.
I had a 93 Civic HB as my daily driver and a Bike (Ninja 500) for fun too.
Then I got laid-off and had to sell the bike
and the Civic
Now I am working again and the s2k is my Daily Driver...and I love it...Rain or Shine, if it snows (not an issue this year) I take my wifes car(2001 Acura Integra GS) and drop her at work.
I love taking the s2k to work, I eat lunch in the car and pop the top and it is like a picnic
gomarlins3...I Had a 89 Ram D50(first car)...cool truck!

My daily driver is a big white van. Its a Dodge Ram 2500 with an awsome "PRIMETIME" logo. It goes 0-20 in4 secs. This is also known as 'the family wagon' even though I am still single and live at home.
Any requests for pictures of it?
