I used to think the same, until I was behind a Viper one night coming home from work and I realized I was just driving a Honda
Even when our cars are FI and they could smoke a 1st gen Viper, they're still looked at as Honda's by people driving $80,000 cars.

I personally hate viper, the 90's ones were alright though. I dont see the purpose in having a fast boat.

The Viper and the S are virtually identical in size when you put them side by side. I'm the one who posted the pics on the GRM forum.
They match up in length and width with the Viper being only about 2" wider at the widest point of at the rear fenders. But since they put 330's on the rears you'd guess it had to be wider somewhere.
The difference is the body lines. Dodge did a good job of designing the lines to be very aggressive looking. The S tapers down towards the bottom and the front end comes to a point whereas the Viper has very broad wide strokes on the front end and the sides go straight down with no taper. The Viper's size is all illusion.
