It totally depends on what you are looking for. The supra is a great car..my sister has one and although she doesn't drive it crazy, I have driven it and they are fast, handling wise, the s2000 has it beat and probably always will even if you mod the supra supsension. it is just a heavier, bigger car.

If you are looking for something to be comparable to what you have, it's the supra....modding is easier, more bang for your buck and if you are going to street drag, you will have more luck (read easier to drag) with the supra..

I personally wouldn't trade my s2000 for a Supra if you paid me to, but that is just me. Good luck

Thanks guys, you all have helped a lot, and from what you guys are saying, the Supra would be a better tool for raw speed, but also closer to what I have currently. And I guess thats why I've decided to purchase the S2000. Im working on it right now. I guess I just wanted something different. Also, I raced a stock s2000 before and although he kinda cheated and took off a little earlier than I did, I barely beat him, So although the supra might be better for raw speed.....it seems that the s2000 isn't so shabby itself. Thanks again guys.

good choice either one...I love the s2000. It has the advantage of being somewhat limited in production too...althought I guess the Supra is now out of production..

If you do go with the s2000 you will be amazed at it's handling stock...and it just gets better from there.....you won't get the torque out of it though unless you go turbo...

There are headers, TB enlargement and CAI that will improve HP and Torque, but don't expect it to be near what a twin turbo will give you....

But it seems that the s2000 isn't that bad.....5.2 to 60 and 13.8 in the quarter.....Seems like it could really do both right?

You are right, but you will have to work really hard to get the 5.2 stock....

It really isn't made for the street drags, but it certainly can compete

If you are growing tired of the VR4, you might get bored with the Supra as well. They are very similar in thrills and performance at stock levels. You may be leaning towards something more thrilling and racy. The high-revving engine and smallness of the s2k should make you feel more close to the road. But if you wanna mod the crap outta something, the supra is your best bet. Go test drive both and make an informed decision!

Yes, Supra is out of production and much rarer (MKIV) than the S2K. Only ~13-14K were imported over the 93.5-98 MY's, and I'm sure many have seen the graveyard due to their owner's not being able to handle the power.

I wouldn't exactly call a Supra an axe, just a slightly duller scalpel...it's still a GREAT handling car, esp. w/ springs and 18's.

what about a 3rd gen rx7, or would that be too much maintenance? i'd give myself a migraine trying to decide between a TT supra or an r2... but smiling the whole time
