that is really weird. I don't understand how mine went down so much. Now the question is...do I leave well enough alone...and wait for them to correct their mistake?

Over the phone the lady just kept saying "05 Honda"...I had to make her specify that it was an S2000 because I just couldn't believe what I was hearing.
Haha dont say anything. If it is a mistake it was not your fault so your not liable. that's funny though.
What is the year of your S and 350Z cuz i am sure the insurance of an 00 s and 08 350z arent even close. The Z would be way more expensive.....

S2000 is definitely in the higher rate insurance brackets but like has been said...there are so many variables between individuals that the rates have a huge fluctuation.

Bottom line is the S2000 is the hottest target for seat theft which can total the car if they also slash the top in stealing them!

The S2000 is also an easy car to wreck if you don't know what you are doing.

That makes sense...

In my case it was an '06 350Z, and my S is an '05. I think I'll just let it be and see what happens next June when they send me the insurance bill. The lady kept saying something about the "symbol of the car" (at first I was like "the honda badge?" in my head). She was saying "maybe it is b/c parts on the Nissan are more". I thought "doubtful" but didn't say anything, I just kept letting her speak.

There is just no way it can actually be this inexpensive for my policy. The old policy for two cars and our house was $19xx. She said next year my bill will be $13xx. If this keeps up I should go buy a Rolls Royce; they'd probably be paying me!!!

here is another odd part. When I added the S (all three on the insurance) they said I would have to pay a prorated amount of like $550 for the remainder of the policy. When I called up two weeks later to take the Z off they said they be sending me a check for $556 (to prorate for the rest of the year)

That info makes it sound like the S is going to be about $10 cheaper a year. Perhaps she was saying from now until June would cost $1300 (if it hadn't already been paid)...and next year when I get my bill it will still be around $1900.

Going from an 03 RSX-S to a 01 S2000 with (at the time) near identical KBB value.... dropped my deductible from $1000 to $500 kept everything else the same... insurance dropped $25 a month

PS yes you read that right the S with a $500 deductible was cheaper to insure than the RSX-S with $1000

I'm 27 with a clear record.

My insurance is going up slightly to just shy of $1200/year (CAD). I'm annoyed because it goes up every year. a couple years ago it was around $1k/year.

My wife and I both have daily drivers, when we added the s2000 as a weekend car, our insurance only went up by 200 every 6 months, full coverage via Geico.
