S2000 AP2 or NSX NA2
GuthNw, I am with you. When you say taking the S2000 for a country road exploration top down, that is what I have been doing. I should have elaborated more in my first post that it is a but more than just doing groceries. For the NSX, it is my dream car when it first came out and I always want to have one, but on the other hand, I do not want to give up my S2000. Maybe I should think about owning both.
Well, I always thought if I were a sales person, I would never do that slimeball thing of selling someone the wrong product, just to make a sale. I'd tell them what the right product for them would be, even if it were a competitor.
So I gave my honest sales person opinion, off topic as it may be. Apparently, not only would I be a starving salesperson, but I'd upset the customer too. As they often don't want to hear whats best, they just want to be convinced. Be that via logic and explanation, or emotion and sales tactics that take advantage of them.
Then we have this, the rules have changed. That usually negates all the efforts that came before that were aimed at the old specifications...

For running around town, picking up groceries, whatever, I take the S2000. If the weather is sketchy I take the S2000 since the top can go up in seconds and the NSX means you have to pull over and take a couple of minutes to put the top on. If I'm taking a road trip or meeting friends for a spirited drive I take the NSX. I take the S2000 when I have to leave it somewhere while I'm doing something. I take the NSX when I'm driving just to drive.
They both are awesome in their own ways. The S2000 is way more bang for the buck, the NSX is much rarer and you'll get noticed a lot more. If money is a concern get the S2000, if money is no concern get both.

I like both but I couldn’t justify spending the amount that people are asking for their nsx these days. I love my s2000 and get so many compliments every time I drive it. If I could go back and do it all over when both prices were affordable then I’d pick the nsx because it is a nicer looking car in its own way but to be honest, I don’t have any regrets.
As much as I like seeing the info on this forum, there is a lot of focus on tracking this car. I use my S to run errands and just enjoy driving around town and would rather do it in my S than any other car. My dream car was an early 90's NSX, so I can understand your dilemma. If money was no object, I would jump at the chance to own a restored NSX.
