'00 ap1 On a empty german "autobahn" slightly downhill. car felt very stable with the kw v3's. Some mods like 70rr, aemv2, testpipe...

When the car was stock, the car's behavior was awfull at high speeds, very light feeling, like the rear end would gonna fly up.. but lowered with the v3's its night and day difference!

I did more than 260km/h in my ap1 when it was stock. But that wasn’t normal, usually I get just 245km/h.
I have driven many Audi cars in Germany, which is totally stable and safe but from my experience, the S2000 might not be stable or feels safe in the Autobahn. Your adrenaline level would be high

@ Nyther
Good news, I have a set of KW V3, I will test them at high speed after install.

@ hicabi
Bikes are different, as speed goes up, the gyroscopic force increase, which makes the bike stable and heading straight. Also they don’t suffer from aero lift force.

Is there a stability difference between the AP1 and AP2? I had no stability problems above 100 mph (AP2), as long as the roads were good.

The AP2 feels slightly more stable.

There is no problem, but if get used to German cars then the s2k feels a bit unsafe at 120mph and above.
It is just feeling and we did not see any incidents.

Funny that nobody comments about how hot the oil got. I have a set of four digital gauges from Rick's, and they always show a very quick rise of the oil temperature. Much quicker than in any of my other cars. I guess it is the lack of an oil cooler, and at 266 degrees F (130 C) on a hot day, this is not something you want to keep up for a long time. My Spyker never gets above 200 F.

I have taken my AP1 up to 140 when I had my 4.77's in and it felt perfectly stable to me. Didn't even feel fast really.

Remember that the speed is out by about 10% ish so the faster you go the bigger the margin...I've had a reading of 150mph with about 1000rpm left to go and ran out of road but in reality that read 135mph on my gps...

VERY nice garage btw 456gt
