S2000 on the Autobahn
I've done 110 with the top down...the ultimate a/c !!! We have a street called Benefit Road in Chesapeake Va. There's a section where the straightaway goes on for at least 5 miles or so.I would've gone faster if it weren't for tractors, farm equipment ,and deer.

Remember that the speed is out by about 10% ish so the faster you go the bigger the margin...I've had a reading of 150mph with about 1000rpm left to go and ran out of road but in reality that read 135mph on my gps...
VERY nice garage btw 456gt

I hope you did not take that picture yourself at 170 mph (275 km/h)....
haha no seriously, I actually needed to get it out of my pocket first... I can say that the car did not behave strangly on steering, or braking inputs at that speed and it just felt like it was going 100mph. So it felt perfectly safe.
But again, i had some mods making the car WAY more stable than a stock ap1. kwv3 ftw!
I live on the border of germany so i have a lot of autobahn drives during a year.
It's very common that if you drive 200kph on the autobahn, that you will be overtaken several times by much faster cars...
Too bad you guys have such strickt laws that prevent you to push it to these kinds of speeds sometimes. The german autobahn is a experience of it's own!

Lol at people who think stock s2k is stable at high speeds. As others have noted, German cars feel much better at those speeds. Not surprising that Those ppl are the ones who drive on the autobahn too. Even a jetta feels more stable at speed hehe.
I rented a brand new Skoda Octavia back in 2005 when I was in the Czech Republic. The car felt pretty stable when I topped it out at around 120-130 mph heading from Prague to Brno, more so than the S2000. It's probably the combination of the lively suspension, short wheelbase, mid-engine, low polar inertial moment, quick steering rack, not too great aerodynamics, rear lift, low weight that contribute to this feel.
