Damn since you can remove the emblem as easy as that I might try it soon.
All too easily, as I had my badges stolen on my 1st s2ki drive, notice my avatar, that's actually a pic of my trunk lid, where the badge used to be

i can almost guarantee that the car has been damaged and the fender has been repainted. another thing, why do people rely on carfax reports so much. that only tells you what has been turned into insurance. i had my bumper repainted and told the buyer beforehand and my carfax was clean.

Yeah... it has me wondering because the side marker lights do not work either... that coupled with the emblems 6in down from them... somebody didn't know what they were doing.

I have an appointment to take it to Carmax next week. Told them I want those emblems in the factory location... sidemarkers fixed... the battery is too tall and is making the hood not flush in the front... and to take that damned Carmax sticker off the back.

If it was in a previous wreck... whatever bodyshop worked on it, sure did a damn good job.

I'll post a pic tonight of the emblem

If you got it from carmax, I'd try to make them take it to a honda dealer to make it right (and for a general condition inspection). If the side lights don't work, there might be wiring issues inside the fenders. I didn't have 1k miles on mine when somebody poped out the side lights and cut the wires off flush with the finders. It was a real pia to get inside the fenders to splice the wires for the replacement lights.

It looks much cleaner with it off.

When I was having myfront bumper repainted from a gazillion rock chips I decided to shave it. I then decided to shave the fenders. The guy that did the work is an artist. No one can tell that the front was repainted and all the marks from fender badging are completely gone. IMO it looks better without the badging.
