Does the s2000 have such a thing? If so, can we turn it off? I don't like the idea that my own car could be spying on me.

yes, all modern ECUs keep a cache of data regarding engine rpm, road speed, etc. That info can be incriminating in court. /thread

OBD3 is coming too. Basically real time updates for whoever wants it.
