Default s2000 or corvette convertible?

I traded my S2000 for a 911 2 months ago but now I really miss having a covertible. I am considering getting a 2001 Corvette ragtop. Have I gone mad???? Will be disapointed after driving an S2000- are they built like crap???

They're ok ...but you might be able to do a left over 03 for the same payments.

More costly going w/ the Vette......gas and insurance among other things .....up to you though......tons of torque w/ the Vette of course.

~if I were stuck on an Island and had my choice it would be an S and not the Vette

>and hey for environmental reasons the S would'nt harm the Island I was stuck on as much as the Vette

I think the vette is not a very reliable car, it's still a chevy, hands down. And also, everyone know's what it is, and those hideous pop up headlights.........NO, get the S

This is just the discussion a friend and I were having recently. He's 6'4", too tall for an S2000. He just bought a '99 Corvette. I think he secretly would have preferred to get himself an S!

My friend @ work has a s/c'd corvette convertible. It's really fast but I can't stand the interior. Looks like they took the parts out of a cavalier parts bin.

Are you sure about the Vette vs. S2K insurance rates? I know State Farm has bumped the Honda into a higher category...I wouldn't be surprised if the Vette's rate was the same or even slightly less.

My insurance went up only 40 bucks every six months when I upgraded from an Integra to the S....I am married and in my 30's..........I hope I don't see an increase in the months to come.....I guess my entry might be just for folks in my position in life.

~someone should check some insurance rates to compare and let us know .....not to prove anything but for curiosity reasons.
