You're asking this on an S2000 board, and your answers reflect such. Go ask on a C5 board and you'll get the opposite answer. Drive a C5 and decide for yourself. But to set the record straight, the C5 will have similar insurance rates as S2000 and almost certainly less than your 911. Also, the C5 gets better MPG than S2000 so that comment about the C5 being bad for the environment is nonsense. The C5 can have HUD (very cool), active handling, traction control, etc. If I were buying used, I'g get a C5 over a used S2000.

Verts are great, having 350 lbs of tq is awesome and they are very easily modifiable. Go to www.corvetteforum.com and look around, it really isn't a bad club at all, i've been a member for over 3 years.

I can imagine going from an S2000 to a 911, but I can't imagine going from a 911 to a Corvette.

Interesting, just before i bought my S i read an article in Motor-Trend where they reviewed a Corvette, a Benz SL,a Jaguar XK,that new Cadillac convertible 2 seater,& a Porsche 911 cabrio. They said that although the S2K wasnt in the same league price wise (some tens of thousands less) they agreed that the S2K was thier pick for price/performance and comfort if the comparision wasnt within a over $50-100thousand price range. And would you belive they rated the Corvette the worst in all categories tested? Rated worst in reliablity, or lack there-of! Also, as someone had stated before, they called the interior controls "Buick-Oldsmobile like" and you dont even get a Power convertible top! I think thats the LAST sports car i would pick for sure.
