If people would just shut up about whether this thread is similar or not to the other one, this thread might still only be one page long.
On to topic, I have had an S2000 for four years and the lease is up in two weeks. I will be considering one for a track/project car as I have a full time company car. I will not however pay more than $33,000 for one. I would definitely go the route of S/C this time. I work with auto dealerships and have not seen any in yet.

So i was at the honda dealership by my house and much to my surprise, they had a CR in BLACK. It is at DCH Gardena Honda in Gardena CA just in case anyone wanted their hands on one. The car is amazing

Today, I saw a black CR with audio and a/c at Miller Honda in Culver City. With a "bumper sticker" of a few dealer-added accessories ($165.00 for wheel locks!), it was over $42,XXX.XX, then add tax, license and delivery to that.
No '08 S2K base models yet.
The know-nothing sales staff told me that each dealer would get only one CR unil they sold it, then they get another.

went to the larger honda dealer in my area yesterday to have a "sit down" to talk about trading in my MY 00 for a black CR.
off the bat the salesman goes to ask his manager. comes back telling me that they cant order any until it's actually sold.
sticker price @ $38,xxx.
in my mind i knew that sticker was $36.xxx.
then he tells me that i have to put a deposit of $10k.
thats when i laughed in his face and went to the next dealer.
next dealer:
somehow i always end up talking to the same guy about the S when i go to this dealer. cool guy too.
i ask if they plan on getting and 08 s2k for the year.
nope, no orders for any 08 yet. they still have 3 07's sitting on the lot.
i ask about the CR. he tells me they can't order them at the moment for stock. only as sold cars. so basically, untill december they cant order one for me to test drive unless i comit to buying.
he told me to come back in Jan and he'll see if they can get one for stock.
