wel all legit down here. we dont hate anything at all. NA v8 ftw? lol. i cant count how many people thought my car was v8.. and btw, im a newb. about taking turns, can i turn on a sharp turn at 45?? i never did it yet. because the last time i took a fast turn, my tires screeched but it held perfectly.. im just afraid of overturning

 

honda s2000 CR... is my dream car as well. one meet over here at south bay area, robert (friendlydacat) let a couple of members test drive and break in his s2kCR. there are three volunteers namely meyric, mac(gpwuster), and anish (redlinedITR i guess) all of em before driving it. all of us had heard in one point negative comments about the CR.. but after driving it, three of em all noticed on how the suspension works and how the engine runs..

hopefully i could give my feedback this up coming friday if he would be too nice to let me drive and redline his CR.

about the cobalt SS, i havent really reviewed it but as far as i am concerned, they are. FAST.

but like gbmurderer said, they are different from one another, if you like being fast in a straight line, go get the cobalt.

if you like being fast in a twisty road, get the s2000. wont dissappoint..

Well people are messing with you because the question you are asking? Majority of the people on s2ki are very mature. You should not be buying a car alone on how fast it is because there will always be someone faster. To answer your question, the S2k is faster then the colbolt ss with equal drivers.

 

First of all, welcome. A lot of people here are a lot more mature, with the sense of humor that comes with it: a bit more cynical perhaps, so don't get offended.
To answer your question, chances are that the cobalt will spank the S2K on a straight line and as many said before, the S2000 is not about drag racing, and frankly, lots of cars are faster. It is more about carving corners, the pure driving experience, and slap smiles on your face in the process.
Besides, I think it's like comparing apples to oranges

 

Just get an s2k and get a used supercharger in the future when all the new ones come out. You'll be good to go.

 

i dont care if its faster i would never buy a stock ricey american car ever in my life. just like a neon srt or w/e they are.

 

if you don't have a tough skin then I don't think you should be using the internet at all.

 

a cobalt ss may be faster, but when im looking at a car i also take a couple other things into consideration. 1) looks......um s2k wins hands down, 2) handling......once again s2k, and 3) build quality......I think you can see where im going. Ya s2k ftw!!!
