this is a very specialized car and it meant to be a sports car that has great reliability.
It will not haul a boat, or a trailer, but it will haul a$$ when you want to have some 'legal' fun.

250 miles per day? Sounds leisurly. I would think the scooter from the movie dumb and dumber would have plenty of luggage space and cabin room for that many daily miles
I doubt that the scooter from Dumb and Dumber would have enough luggage space for two adults for a week. Longest daily run on the trip was about 450 miles or so. Two days ran about 10 - 11 hours in the car.

How are you going to afford an S2000 in HS.....?

When people comment about the lack of a backseat I always comment on the length of the hood for compensation.

If you are looking for a taxi buy something else.

I have owned an S2000 for 3 months now. The car is perfect in terms of space, you can fit groceries and other stuff. I never really had a problem, I actually liked it that I didnt have to drive anyone home. Its great for solo driving, or with a sideckick/girlfriend. However, I do have to say... If you are out with a chick and you want to make out somewhere, then you are out of luck, no back seat I missed my mustang convertible then.

Yeah..

I'm really not that worried about space. You have to make some trade offs if you want to go fast!

The question is, did you have that question when you were shopping for your car in 1974?
no, I was in high school, the only question I had would that Red convertible get more girls or would some other car.

I chose wisely

Having it as a daily driver isn't too bad as it has the perfect amount of space for the stuff that I bring to work. The only downside is having to go through some rough roads- which can get really jarring and make the car feel like a shopping cart.

I had the same problem as you. I got my S going into Junior Yr of high school and still have it in college. I used it as a DD everyday...I asked the same questions as you too when I was getting it. I was more towards the Evo then, but the S2k magically appeared in my garage one day when I got home..I enjoyed it, but couple years later I'm eagerly waiting for the Evo X to trade my S2k for. Moral of the story is, the car you want now will most likely be the car you regret not getting later. Have a nice day.

This post is really a rorschach test.

Convertible Sports Car is not truck. It does its niche really well and doesn't do 3-15 people, towing, big objects, or many-many small objects well.

If you are worried, you shouldn't think of it, get a wagon.

It is really more like a comfortable motorcycle.
