S2000 Dyno
Well, haters aside, I'm happy for you. My stock numbers are in my sig...186 and 122, but on a Mustang dyno, which typically read low, but consistent. I hated my results, but numerous people told me my numbers were accurate for that dyno. I'm encouraged by your results, as I plan on following a similar path, but with different parts. Props to you.
I do not know if it really helps all that or if it is in my head but I adjusted my throttle cable tighter and it seems to be much more responsive. It was really slacked though, maybe all combined with my mods it helps a little. Any thoughts or am i smoking something (lol).
We need to get some people to settle these debates once and for all and have one of the local groups do a tech day and dyno a stock car and then bolt on one piece at a time and keep doing the dyno over that same day and see what changes are made.
Well the original numbers are pretty piss poor and the after numbers seem about in line with many other mildly modded cars.
My guess on the big jump is a dirty air filter or ecu reset. This could easily drop power by 5%-7% and then the exhaust and intake themselves could net you another 5-7 hp on top of that.
Its not like you started at 198 hp and then ended at 220. Now that would be out of the question with those two mods.
Perhaps your ecu was re-set as well. Quite clearly your car was not running to well b/f the mods, so with their addition and a fresh ecu and air filter, you may indeed pick up 20 hp, but this figure is not a 20 hp improvement over stock, just 20 hp over a poorly running S2000.

good numbers for a dynojet(read lower)
How many miles have you put on in between the time of your first dyno and your second dyno? How many miles total did your car have when it was first dynoed? From what I've been told (no idea if this is accurate or not), S2000s loosen up and generate more ponies as they break in, and break-in can last up to 10,000 miles if not more..
