S2000 Engine/Warranty Issue
This one I actually leased it.....I did and do have an accord with AHC which I purchased thru Braman Honda. But as I stated b4, the S2 is the last one from Braman. The next one will be thru Rick or Brickell. Interesting enough, I called Rickcase and negotiated a better deal over the phone on a 03 S2,$100.00 less in payments per month and less to put in on the lease. That goes to show me that the loyality of Braman isn't blue.
the blue on the website looks really slick. Its hard to find that color in Florida, I saw one the other day, but the blue doesn't look as sharp as on the web.

mav - maybe he treats you better than others.....my claims are with the lawyer and not in public as this site is viewed by many.....understand? Just to let you know, Robert Braman (owner of Braman) has already responded to the lawyers letter about the issue and the service behind the provided by the SM. As I stated, he did not even bother to fix the other issues I reported, the top not folding down or nesting properly. This should say it all.....it should have been fixed regardless of the engine problem.
I'm afraid that there's a "credibility gap" in this thread. (People over a certain age will recognize the phrase.)
"Ferrari mechanic", "bent pistons", same engine as RSX, "director of acura(sic) and the director of honda(sic)", etc. The car just stalled at a traffic light with no mention of any unusual noises, but at least one piston is shattered?
I hope that this is just some anger being vented over the Internet. I know I felt like my intelligence was being insulted repeatedly, and I certainly wasn't moved to go out of my way to help anyone if I didn't have to (and I don't). Maybe the dealership personnel were treated the same way and reacted the way I would have.
I don't have any idea what the facts behind this thread are. In fact, I don't care any more.

I think Honda is getting a bit arrogant in how they treat customers. If these problems continue to happen this will affect one of Honda's most important selling point, reliability. I am sure most of us just don't have one Honda in the family, people talk, and people recommend. If anything happens to my engine that isn't my fault and Honda gave me a BS cop out, you can bet all my future cars and all my family's car will never be a Honda again. There is a reason I bought the extended warrantee and I don't abuse my car, more like treat it better than myself and if the dealer ever said that to me I show them the finger.
Way to go!! My sentiments exactly. What really irks me is that the guys at the dealership have told me, (of course, whose to say they aren't just trying to be nice, so I won't get upset with them), but they've tried to support my case and saying in inspecting the car, they can tell I've totally babied it and have not abused the car. It's the stupid diagnosis, that they are using vs. trying to delve further to see if there actually is another problem. I called another dealership who I've never worked with before, the service manager there called the district manager who said he was very familiar with my case and tried to appeal to AHC and they won't let him overturn their decision, so he suggested that I write a letter. (Don't know what that will do), but that's where I'm at, my attorney will be writing a letter. Within my immediate family we have 7 Hondas, amongst my immediate friends there's about 10-15, then people I work with, etc. etc. When I went to the dealer this morning my friend's husband was there with their car and asked how my S2 was doing, guess what story he heard. They really need to think about long term........not only in reliability as you mentioned, but customer service!!!!
Gernby,
If anyone could be accused of flaming, it would be me. No one ever responded to my posts through the thread or through PM to me. At least not yet.
It's just that some statements didn't add up. I don't know what to believe from this point forward. I'm reminded of the old saying: "There are two sides to every story. The truth is usually somewhere in between."
Perhaps my response was overly harsh; if so, I apologize to anyone who was offended. However, the statements I cited damage credibility, at least in my mind.
