My problem: I NEVER see any other S2000 drivers out on the road when I'm in my S . . . I only see other S2K drivers/owners when I'm in the Prelude. . .

Timing IS everything. . .

I don't see stooks that often, but when I do I wave and get a response maybe 50% of the time. On the other hand, hardly any XKR drivers return my salute when I'm driving the Jag. Guess snobbishness is a factor.

I usually hold up my hand when I see other S2s, and they acknowledge me as well. I don't stare or smile when I wave, but I haven't gotten a negative response from other drivers yet. In fact Ben from Bulletproof was the only one I tried to exchange words with, but it was too hard to talk over the freeway noise.

I too usually see other S2000's (I hate the term "stook") when I'm driving my Integra, go figure.

I know New Jersey drivers have a crappy reputation in other states, and it's usually well-deserved, but the one time I saw another S2K ( I was exiting at Lake Parsippany from 287 North when waaaay back in my mirror I see the distinctive HID headlights) He gave me a friendly toot on the horn, and even though I was far off on the exit ramp I was able to give him a wave of recognition. Don't know who he was, it was a black S2k and even though it was broad daylight, he had his headlights on.

I'm sure we're a pretty small cross section of S2K ownership. No doubt there are all kinds out there. I've run into both types. Some acknowledge, others just ignore. I try and remember the ones who ignore. Some day they may need help. Then I'll wave as I drive by.

Motorcyclists have the same problem. Most wave. Some don't. I always stop when I see a stranded biker. Usually they have the problem under control.

I saw this silver S2000 on the highway in VA, I was driving my Civic, and just witnessed him trashed an Audi TT and slowed down to do it again ..... and again ...... and again ........ He slowed down in traffic and I was in the passing lane, gave him a thumb-up, and he waved back with a big smile

I confess

Twice my wife has told me that we passed an S2K and they waved, but I didn't notice

Wearing sunglasses, I'm sure it appeared that I was one of those titanium shifter up the a** snobs, and I actually felt bad that I missed them

I do, however; always wave/flash hi beams point/make a fool of myself etc. and only once did someone not respond (out of about 15 encounters so far since Feb., '01). Not a bad ratio huh?

I guess do to my lack of awareness as to other's of our kind, I'm the worst culprate out of all I've come accross. Oh my God Now I'm mad at myself I'd better seek therapy

I usually wave and honk. Most people acknowledge me back. Maybe we just have friendlier, more laid back people here in SO Cal.
