S2000 Etiquette
Always wave/honk and say Hi!! Have been noticing it more lately that more fellow "stookers" do not acknowledge my gesture (which leads me to want to issue them yet another "gesture"). I am begining to think that the newer owners do not have the same level of appreciation that earlier stook owners seem to share as there are more on the road these days - Although if I do see another (even including Prolene who lives just up the road a piece) S2000 on the road, it is still something of an event (even in SC)
Have also been passing out the S2000 website cards to a few newer owners.

Not so sure, Marks2k. The first few months I had my car, it seemed people went out their way to wave, talk, honk or what ever. Lately, I've had more ignore my wave than not. Exception . . . yesterday morning in San Juan Capistrano, nice wave from a red as I was getting on the 5. Anyone here?

I usually wave, and usually get a response IF the driver sees me. I do think there is something to the idea that as more s2000s are on the raods, some of the newer owners are less "s2000 centric"
Is it true that the s is just a car?
I also seem to see more S2Ks when I'm driving my shiny new beater - a '91 Mazda pickup.
BTW, I can't think of an occasion where I haven't had a positive gesture returned by fellow s2k'ers.
I think y'all jus need to move down south where us folk is jus friendlier.

Most S2000 owners acknowledge each other here. Except for one guy that thinks he's too sexy for his car. He still has the temporary paper plates on his car and his plastic window already looks like s**t.
In 6 months of ownership I have seen just one other S2000 while driving. I waved to her but she didn't respond. Then I realized I was dring my Miata that day! Could be that's why I got no response.
I too have mixed results, some wave some don't.
I'm sure some are just like me, to engrossed in what I am doing (driving) and just don't notice the other S2000.
I hate it when the girlfriend says "did you see that S2000 that just went by"? and I have to say no.
Hope the ones I missed, don't think I'm one of them "stuck up ones"!

Hey bruddah,
You're in Hawaii. Everyone there is extremely friendly. That guy that doesn't wave is probably from the mainland.

People here in Georgia must be extremely friendly. I have never passed another S2K without a wave or sounding the horn. Even some Harley riders have waved. What a great car to get respect from a Harley rider.
