Default S2000->EVO->S2000?

Ok guys i need your advice.

I have owned 2 s2000's in my life time, and I've logged over 100K between the both of them. I went from a 2001 berlina black to a 2001 spa yellow to a 2003 Evo........now i find myself in a position to pick up a silver 02 for about 21-22K. The interest rate is great and I so do want to pull the trigger. I mean owning an evo and an s2000 would be a dream come true! But, here is the caveat..........I was thinking about trying to buy a condo/townhouse in about a year. If I decided to get the s2000, I would have to put off buying my 1st home for about 2-3 years. What the hell do i do. My brain tells me to go for the house but my heart is telling me to get the s2k. What would you do? Oh and I dont have a wife or kids and currently live in an apt.

Damn...that's a toughy...I came so close to getting an evo before I got my S....And i'm glad I didnt...I actually obsessed over the evo for years...was about to buy...then, by chance, ran upon the s2000 (I own now) and went on a joy ride...My evo feelings deminished and I purchased the s2000 the next day ...However I would like to have one to sit next to my baby....

The "smart" thing to do would be get the house...But you sound like a car nut (just like myself)...So I wont give you any advice..Just step in and tell you what a parent would say to a son ...However that never really made a difference on what I did in life...

I am about to get a house myself..I'm currently renting a townhouse..So no more toy's till this one is paid for!

Stop and take time to decide what you really want and then follow a plan instead of acting impulsively. I know that this doesn't sound like the fun way to do things, but you will be glad for the planning 10 years from now.

House, hands down.

A year later you can even get an S for your self, a big rocks for your wife, pay off all of your credit cards, a nice vacation in an exotic places, ...etc, all at once. Think about it!

With the way the market is right now...depending upon where you live, you'll make enough in appreciation to pay for all of your toys with cash.

House. Later on, a home equity loan with its tax-dedutible interest can help you get a car to make up for the pain. Patience, it's hard, but it can pay off.

Real estate almost never depreciates as badly as a car, and while you can't pick up chicks with a house, it impresses them way more than a car, usually.
