I've also noticed a lot of Prius owners drive like idiots.

My wife and I have a theory you can get a driver's license at the Toyota dealership when you buy a Prius. It seems like they have never driven before getting the Prius. Be very careful around a Prius with dealer tags.

hahaha I believe that. A PRIUS itself is cause for alarm, a PRIUS with dealer tags... good God. It's amazing that others have made this same observation. I'm sure there are many responsible PRIUS drivers, but so far there seem to be many more bad apples than there should be.

Lol, my aunt has a Prius. I love her to death, but she can't drive....she freaks out when changing lanes so typically she stays in one lane for the duration unless she has to change. But back on topic here. So far it's mixed. Some people keep a good distance, others tailgate. But since I have a rio yellow, they stand out so I do get a lot of stares. I think the question is do people treat you differently? or do you treat others differently. When I'm in my gs-r, i'm fairly relaxed. I park wherever I want. When I'm in the S, I freak out, drive (fast yes but uber defensively), like everyone's out to hit me. And parking spots....fuuugeetabout it.

I agree with OP, people in Toronto here have some kind of respect for the S, until they find out it's just a HONDA
haha yeah, I agree. People ask me,
"Nice car! Is that a BMW?
No, a Honda.
Oh~! oh....."
Although I want to argue its a fantastic car, I just save my breathe... People who dont know the S prob dont know shit about cars anyhow...

Same thing happens to me! I was giving a girl a ride home the other night and she seemed impressed by the S. She says "What is this we are driving in. is it a porsche?"

I wanted to slap by palm to my forehead but just responded casually, "Nope, it's a Honda. It's a great way to have a sports car that actually lasts. Those porsches are sweet but I'm not prepared to sell an organ when something breaks." (*note to self, in the presence of superficial women, never come off as practical or frugal)

And then... "Oh, so it's like those civics or eclipses?"

I could feel the tension rising in the car after her dreams of being ferried around in a german roadster burned up faster than the S's engine oil.

Honestly, if I could find a woman who could use a wrench, had a brain, and was even moderately attractive, I would be........

In heaven? Nice write up lol.

As for me, there is usually too much traffic on two lane roads here, so nobody even bothers anymore to make way. Especially soccermoms don't seem to notice and think: 'let's move to the right lane' when you wan't to overtake, but that's prolly because they are not thinking at all.

On faster 3 lane roads I notice people immediately make way when I come up behind them in the fast lane. Also I've never had as much compliments from other people about the looks of a car I'm driving. The S is definitely a winner in that behalf.

OT, but I hate Prius's as well. @#%*()&@#(*%&@#&*(%
It seems that anytime I'm stuck behind someone going absurdly slow, it's either a Prius, Camry, or Corolla. I think this just fuels my general dislike for Toyotas.

FWIW, my mom has owned two cars, a Corolla and a Camry. Neither have seen speeds above 40mph until I drove her Camry.

You sure about this? Um, maybe there's 2 types of Corolla/Camry drivers. They are either really slow (as what you said), or they drive REALLY fast and reckless as if they want to prove their Corolla/Camry is faster than your S2K. I seriously don't get what they think.

I think people actually are a little nicer. It is much easier to merge in traffic in a nice car then let's say the beater.

Really? I never have that issue. Only once ever, I've had a Corolla with an exhaust try to race me and a EJ SI. It was the slowest race ever since I didn't participate
