Yes I know the title should read S2000 Final Prototype Glovebox Pics...oops...anyway...
Now that I have set up board sponsorship I will be offering S2000 gloveboxes by the end of the week. Here are the final prototype pictures. Please keep in mind several things. First off, the material we will be using for the inside of the box is not the plastic shown but an ABS plastic instead. Also this was a red door that I painted black. I had 6 doors to play with at the begging of the week and they are all now destoryed...so this was all I had left After having several complications it is near completion. All I am working on now is seeing if there is anything I can do to make the alignment absolutely "perfect" as it stands right now the glovebox sticks out about 1/16" of an inch more then the OEM panel. This is unnoticeable to the passenger and hardly noticeable to the driver but something I am working on non the less. Tomorrow I will be going to the lasercutters to get the glovebox cadd'ed up and cut. During this process the edges of the box will be rounded etc to improve look and functionality but if you want a good idea of what it will look like here you go.
The dementions of the useable space are 2" tall by 12" wide by 3.25 inches deep. I am also working on an option for a glovebox light, a lock, and a alternate cigarette lighter/power source. I need to know who is interested in these three options so I can know what to spend the most time on figuring out.
Below are pics of the prototype. All opinions welcome as always.

I'm sorry could you be a little more specific on what you are refering to. I don't know whether you are referrinf to the inside part or the outside...

I think he's talking about those screw-like rivety things that stick out like dog's b@lls on the outside of the glove box.

I'd like to see more pics after you get the other panels back. Hopefully some red pics.

Looks like you would slice up your hand on those edges when trying to squeeze to reach something in the back of the glove box.
