Is the S2000 a freakin' race car?

Great post man! Truth is, it's just a power play. Everyone who stabs the gas doesn't necessarilly want to race, they just want you to notice the fact that they have a "fast car" as well, and need just as much attention as you do, too bad it's not a bro' kind of thing, but a seperation kind of thing. You've heard of the Ford/Chevrolet rivalry right? Well, it exists for cars from different countries as well (ever try to pull up to a Sonic on a Saturday night when all the 50's muscle cars are out?). I think the Muscle car guys are just saying "hey, don't you wish you had this torque on tap, and this smooth, melodious V8 purr?", and at the same time their thinkin'..."man, what a babe-magnet that thing is, if I had that...I'd be the S**t!". I think we all want the best of both worlds, but we can't all afford a Ferrari F355.

I always rev my Prelude on S2000's and NSX's. Its just me saying "Hey look its your little brother here!" Lol. I think the American cars are just saying, "Look at my mullet!"

At track day on Saturday, in one session we went around the track about 10 times, a Camero SS started right behind me, I lapped him once by the end

I have had a number of young drivers pull up to me and either rev the engine, or ask to race them. I just laugh at them. No need to get all puffed up over whose car is faster, when you know that you could blow their doors off.

What's sad DeeGYM is whenever you actually turn around to chase him! Why let him get the last rev? LOL

In my extensive s2000 driving I haven't experienced this "want to race" phenomenon, just appreciative looks, as opposed to the Viper where people don't rev, they either look or want to run (I guess to see if they can get lucky or to see how much slower they are)...However, I can tell that some people want to see how the s2k will perform, and the downshift-to-VTEC takeoff does seem to surprise quite a few.
