s2000 drives better, while not necessarily faster

if you want fast, buy a 3000$ 5.0 mustang and upgrade it

The S2000 in stock form is boring to me. Yes it handles well, but it lacks straight line acceleration. However, a heavily modded S2000 can compete with just about anything. A supercharger, coilovers, and bigger wheels with R-compound tires turn the S2000 into an all-around vette-killer. A little more work on the motor and brakes and it will compete with a lot more than a Vette.

It takes a bit more than a bolt-on supercharger . . .

And if the stock S is boring to you, you obviously aren't driving it right.

I believe that a bolt on SC will do the car just fine. What else do you really need? Bringing the car up to around 300 hp is more than adequate.

I enjoy driving the Honda, sure its not going to whip an Sti or an Evo, but it is still fun to drive and that is what makes it worth while. Not to long ago I drove a 1989 Porsche 911 it was slow compared to my Audi S4, but it was so much fun to drive I didn't care. Same goes for any old sports car. These days they are all old and slow, but there is a magic to them that draws you in. If you want to drive a rocket car then buy one. For everyday driving the Honda is still a lot of fun.

I was replying to the quoted post. A bolt-on supercharged S does not have the raw acceleration of a Vette as he said. I think the car is plenty fun as is, but more power is always nice.

I've had mine for about ayear now. I put some 18 Gold Volk GTU's on it and an exhaust and am loving every minute of it. I paid 17k for it with the hardtop and for the money I couldn't have asked for a better car. I gets looks for guys driving Porshe GT3's. I have a blast driving the thing just two and from work. I wouldn't think of getting rid of the car. Not any time soon.
